ENA
This semester our Studio 4 is back on track with physical classes and live representations which is what architecture is all about. AD4 is all about wellness and these are my works tutored by Mr Hazazi.
Energy & Architecture
PROJECT 1
Low Energy Building Analysis
For this assignment in a group of 2, me and Skylar made an infographic low energy building analysis video of the Changi Jewel Airport, Singapore. We selected this building because of its renown title of the greenest airport. The development and energy consumption is studied for data comparisons. Overall, our research shows that there are many elements of the great domed building that contributes in its effort of lowering carbon footprint. Definitely an assignment that I had fun with.
PROJECT 2
Passive Green Building Strategies Report
Fortunately for me, I lived in a double-storey terrace house and happen to be familiar with every inch of my own home as well as the habits of the occupants. So this report was also quite an interesting project to do as I am able to collect and analysis data of my own home, which the results I myself am quite surprised of how much energy my household consumes every month.
REFLECTION
This marks the end of year 2. In a way, I do feel like it does gets harder and I have certainly struggled more this semester trying to adjust myself back into the normal circumstances before the pandemic. Out of all the semesters, I am especially displeased with the outcome of my final project. Now that I'm approaching my final year, I'm sure many will have high expectations of me and there certainly be an increased level of difficulties in coming projects. This will mean that I have to further prepare myself so that I do not repeat the same mistakes I made in this semester. Despite the struggles, I am relieved that I manage to pull through another semester.
